For all those who wrote him off after 45 mins v Arsenal. Where are you now he had a very good half v Palace? We dominated passages of possession because of how well he played.

Class player, unfairly thrown under the bus by those pushing an agenda of Martinez's infallibility. You won't keep this player down, he'll be one of the prem's top midfielders in the future. He has everything.

I think that's a huge exaggeration, he did alright like. I don't particularly remember dominating any passages of possession. He came on and did what he had to do though.

We had 10 men against a very physical side that we'd struggled to even keep the ball against in the first half when we had 11. Besic came on and we were playing some pretty good stuff pinning them in for about 20 minutes. Then we tired and their numerical advantage told.

One of the best things about Besic is that he admitted he had a shocker against Arsenal, shrugged it off and corrected it and wanted to make it better. What our players aren't doing. Besic is entitled to mistakes as much as anyone else. He surely can't be completely used to the league yet due to playing bit part. But him and Barkley need to partner each other ahead of Barry, therefore limiting the amount Barry moves meaning he saves his stamina for when he needs it. Very much like Dier at Spurs. We need to employ their ideal and we will do well.

Would be alarmed if anyone was tbh, whoever passed him as fit for that match should have been getting side-ways looks though, pretty much cost us the game.

For a long time on here Besic playing well was seen as exposing Martinez's fallibility in not selecting him. For that reason a great young player was jumped on as soon as he made one mistake whereas the Martinez favourites like McCarthy offering up the same dross every week were untouchable.
