I have stood in a witnesses box for two days in a civil case - no such thing as justice, a,ways remember you have to have a good memory to be a good liar my Trade Union barrister ripped them apart .

According to The Times today there are two Fujitsu ‘experts’ being investigated for perjury and perverting the course of justice.

that sounds as I would expect, quite a small number of people who knew this stuff was dogturd but they still allowed it to be used as evidence against innocent people, many others may only have known half of the story.

Let's hope that first group all are found, tried and convicted.

The UK must be the most corrupt place to live in - I blame the Freemasons society - personally there are a lot of good Freemasons who genuinely raise money for charities, but the corruption levels are in every walk of life Police - the judiciary. Lawyers etc etc - The old saying it's not what you know, it's who you know is down to them - the secrecy of such organizations to all infiltrated by the funny handshake brigade - I got told of their inner sect of freemasonry working in local authorities where I worked & I have seen far too much nepotism & it cost me my job by being an honest person ....8 years of litigation - I watched Mr Bates & I must say tears wee in my eyes as I watched it nothing in it surprised me - I did know the outline of the story - but now the crap has hit the fan as @COYBL25 stated he is probably correct the head of the post office & a Vicar FGS will come out of it disgraced, but unscathed ... it's a disgrace in the UK the law for the powerful .....

Fabricating evidence and bearing false witness are two very separate and very serious distinct crimes. Someone will blame the system, and weasel out of responsibility by having such great faith in said system. Boils down to the 'it's only you that's had this money go missing', when it was hundreds of cases.

It took Marcus Rashford to get involved to fight for free school dinners for the poorest kids in society.
It's taken a dramatised tv show 10+ years after the fact to engage the machine of justice because 'we the people' have spotted such industrial sized crime.

I think this is one of the anomalies of this case in that the PO had prosecutorial powers laid down by statute that bypassed the CPS. This is why so many procedural defects came to light,particularly around disclosure,when the real legal professionals got involved.

They still had to book courts, "isolated case you say" - "oh yeah, open and shut case", - "we can squeeze you in after the arson case that's a short one next Thursday afternoon", - "oh well, err, actually it's more like a few hundred open and shut cases...."

Lots of PO prosecutions in different geographical locations over 10 years is easier to disguise than the CPS turning up saying we have 550+ postmasters to prosecute all in one go.

In fact that's an interesting one. The computer system was inventing lost monies, in some cases and not others. What % of post masters nationwide were effected.
