Any recommendations for a cheap and cheerful Vista compatible player to suit aging Lothario?

thousands out there monty. loads prob. no good though. most you just drag and drop the files, the mp3 player appears as a removable hard drive on your pc. got a creative one for daughter, sounds great but not much memory compared to whats available now, very small though and sounds great. been looking at ipods today, gonna prob get one free with a mobile contract i think, a whopping 160gb, 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video.

I got one from Costco that cost £140 and its good but grandson borrowed it new years eve and hasnt given it back Ill ask him tomorrow the make .I use the one on my phone sony -ericcson that was £86 and has radio and mp3 that does me thats why I havent asked our Harry for the dear one both where xmas presents(y)

Thanks for that lads. We are going away for a few days next month and I hope to get a spot of fishing and painting in. My old Walkman is knackered so I wondered about replacing it with a more modern system. I don't really understand these things too well apart from the fact that it will have to be compatible to Vista for the downloading to take place.

I think a one gig would be big enough so I'll root round and see what I come up with

Sorry Dylan post before seeing your reply. As I would only use it on the odd occasion say £20/30, I don't really have a clue how much they are(y)

You want one like that then. That one is $30 here, so I imagine it would be something comparable over there.....probably around 30 quid.

Cheers mate, I already know more about them now than I did five minutes ago:lol::lol:(y)

the creative nano costs about £30 or did and its 1gb, you'll be suprised at the price of some of the ipods now as well , i was looking on ebay to work out how much my "free" one is worth to see if it's a good deal or not.

Im with you mate I have to get the wife or daughter to load mine:lol:

I think it is just a matter of plugging in selecting the drive and down loading, there'll be instructions, not that you can understand them these days:lol::lol::lol:
