It amazes me that these stories (such as about how Sir Bobby inspired DM) are still coming out ten days after I first read it!

There was always something else behind the debacle of the summer.. and Moyes really has to hold his hand up for the resultant mess.

Taking stock, reflecting and evaluating where you're at, is of course entirely understandable but the way he's allowed his doubts to leak out and spill into the confidence and direction of the team has been really unfortunate.

After all last years hard work and progress we should now be up with Villa at the very least.

Ok Davey you've had your 'emo' summer .. now if you're staying get it sorted and make it up.

[Poor language removed] delighted that it was held up because he wanted serious funds to progress.

Just goes to show how the club lie through their teeth every summer.

I think some of you need to seriously realize that we won't be able to progress this summer with the board we have, Kenwright has done a decent job in stabilising us but he can't give us the serious funds we need to compete anymore. 15 million isn't enough for a transfer budget each summer. 15 million seems to be enough for a January transfer budget these days, not in the summer when you need to do some serious rebuilding or get players in to do serious progression.

He's gonna sign though but we cannot keep a manager of his quality with the way the board treats him every summer.

I agree with a lot of what you say Cal, But I doubt any of the bigger clubs would come for him, as although hes the best we could get I dont think the football we play puts him in the window for a top job(y)

Don't think he can really held his head that high after the summer. Yes he was [Poor language removed] on over money. But he made it all worse by spitting his dummie.

It could also be his way of letting the fans and players that it was not him dithering in the market(y)

The sad reality is unless there is a change within the financial side of the club i think this will be Davey Moyes last contract with us. Hes clearly saying in the article that he is hitting the glass ceiling at Everton and cant compeate at the level he wishes to aspire too, its pains me to write that.

Did Wenger have that much to spend ?
