West Ham United have abandoned plans to appoint a director of football with the club willing to back David Moyes’ judgment in the transfer market as they prepare to appoint him as manager on a permanent contract.

The Scot has yet to be formally offered the job, but talks over a contract extension are planned once West Ham’s place in the Premier League is mathematically secure, and both parties anticipate that the negotiations will end with Moyes extending his stay at the London Stadium.

Moyes was given a deal until the end of the season with no guarantees or clauses stipulating an extension when he replaced Slaven Bilic as manager last November. Despite his short-term contract, though, he has been involved in detailed discussions about…

Oh God no.

He was ace for us, but the rest of his career suggests it was more about "the package" at the time, to be fair he bought some quality players for very little money Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Jagielka, Baines, hell even Lescott, players we would kill for atm, but no, I dont love nor hate the man, hes just someone we used to know.
 
Love to see him take them down.

We could potentially put them down on final day of season if we let Southampton get a decent result against us, might be worth it... not because I hate Moyes but because it’ll just be funny seeing West Ham fans fume.
