I just wonder is it someone at the beeb who has decided to make a deal of this now or is it Sunderland? They will no doubt back their manager up to the point when burning bra's start being flown in by trebuchet into the SoL. Reluctantly they will be forced to fire him within the next 3 days, everyone's a winner, except poor old Davey.

The fact that he has said this means he is doomed:

In an ideal world an apology would suffice, but we are in a far from ideal world. Utterly brainless remarks though even if he had no intention of doing it. Which of course he wouldn't.

If it was anybody else I would think it was grim. But Davey is such a decent chap, and having listened to the tape if he lost his job for that I think it would be very harsh, he was clearly joking

It's good to see women getting involved in footy journalism
They understand banter which she obviously did
Who knows maybe moyes might have gained a trust with the reporter after that and gave her a proper story her skills deserve rather than this
