Moyes Though ?

Yeah because its that easy, drop a few players and everything will be back to how it was before he came in and ruined things. He has tried that already, with Mirallas and Naismith, has it worked? Nope.

Kicking off wont do him any good, who is he to even try? A nobody with as many relegation's on his CV as cup wins. Top managers who can demand and should get respect, who have a proven record can do that, the likes of Alex Ferguson, not no marks like Roberto. What is he going to say anyway? They are doing what he is telling them to do, which evidently doesn't work, every time the players play it out from the back to look pretty and put ourselves under pressure they are doing that because they are told to, i bet they don't like it any more then we do.

As for dropping Howard he is going out of his way to make it clear that wont be happening, no mater how much the fans and everyone else with eyes want him to.

Mirallas has had a on/off groin injury most of this season. From last season.

Not sure why his name is coming up.

Kicking off does work. It worked and is a necessary requirement to win titles.

Howard Kendall was not afraid to kick off when required. Nor Joe Royle.

Not in a million years would I have Moyes back! Even though he did have us playing some decent footy at times I hated his defeatist attitude in the big matches. The disrespect he showed us after he left burned all his bridges as far as I'm concerned.

You do know Roberto has been a manager and player in this country for 20 years right? Hardly a nobody

Why is this abortion of a thread still open??

Moyes can GTF!!
Why are any of these managerial threads left open is the bigger question.

Laughable headless chicken stuff about a managerial change which isn't even remotely on the cards. The same people who were cooing over the football a few weeks back now want a change.

Meanwhile at Everton FC no one even registers the noise. The team hosts visiting billionaires and prepares for a game that can get them to a cup final and the owners look at the table and say "no threat to our tv cash next season, crack on Roberto".

That's what's happening in the real world beyond their keyboards.

Lol.

We all know Martinez is under no pressure but I think there is a legitimate question to say should he be under more pressure? As you know I am of the opinion he shouldn't be under pressure for his job. However I can see some worrying trends developing.

Manager underperforming, side struggling and in need of some investment. Sells a player for 10 million. Doesn't re-invest money. Rather than speaking out keeps quiet and says nothing. His loyalty is rewarded and becomes untouchable. Arrogance goes to said managers head and continues to underperform. Start cycle again.

I don't think we are there yet but we are some way along. From top to bottom at Everton over 15 years there has been a bit of a culture of mistakes can be repeated with no accountability.

£4M of that cash has been spent though. And the rest of it I'm thinking will be recycled with a loan deal. We have 5 days left in the window. Let's see what happens.

I dont see any parallels with Moyes on any level, tbh. Chalk and cheese.

indeed.
I think I must be the only one left that hasn't started a should Martinez go poll in the last few weeks, I did try to start one a few weeks back when we'd won a couple of games but it "wasn't the right time for that sort of a thread"
I don't know what thread i'm in most of the time now. It's the same posters cut and pasting their diatribes about Martinez across multiple threads as if they think we don't already know what they think or that it's going to make some sort of difference. They're the same ones that pick on players when we do win.

The only rest-bite you can get these days its the multiple threads which devolve down into how much certain posters hate Howard which are just as bad. I just don't see the point of piling abuse and pressure on a player when he's not playing great to start with, it achieves nothing.

Bobby is going nowhere regardless of how much they throw their toys out of the pram when things don't go our way. Like it or not, Howard is our number one Goalkeeper, that's not going to change by booing him and clapping ironically, the only thing that's going to do is make things worse.

Some posters really need to grow up and look at it with some perspective. It's almost as if they think that the players and management are deliberately not wanting to win matches. I just hope they have more mental fortitude than the noisey bell-whiffs in our support and get themselves out of this rut. It's a tough time all round, but it's a time to support not abuse.

You do possibly realise the astonishing parallel world you seem to be living in don't you?
