So are we worse than rubbish.
Looking at what they’ve spent we shouldn’t be is the same stratosphere as them but we are. They are poor for a team that has had so much spent on it. We made them look ordinary at times especially in the 1st half.
Didn’t mean the post to come out like it did!!!
It’s been a long day mate!!

Tough call.

I think he’s done a good job since returning and now has us looking upwards rather than downwards.

However, he needs to improve on his recruitment this summer. Quite a few of last summers signings haven’t worked out.

He also needs to have better form at home, take cup competitions seriously and start beating the top teams more often.

I know...I was just being a knob.

Someone needs to sit me down and explain what this fella has done.

Cons: Runners up quite a few times.
Pros: Got to the finals

Apart from Paris where it's not hard, not much really.

Pochettino has a proven body of work in the prem at both Southampton and Spurs. Glasner has won more cups in his career than Moyes has and has shown he can do it with Palace and Frankfurt.

I’d back either of them to win us a trophy, qualify for the CL, and start winning derbies and big away games again, much more than I would Moyes to do these things.

Moyes will give you a top half league record but his record shows you what that comes with. Barely any decent cup runs, barely any away wins at top grounds, barely any derby wins.

We can keep going for a few more seasons and finish 8th each time but by the time we come to kick on again we’ll find that United Chelsea Spurs Liverpool might not be in the mess they’re currently in.

City will probably lose Guardiola soon, Arteta may well go from Arsenal if he doesn’t win anything this year. Chelsea could stick with Rosenior for another year and be rubbish. Spurs could be in the championship. United who knows what they’ll do, and Liverpool might be stupid enough to keep Slot. Villa might lose Emery and Newcastle might change manager and lose their star players.

This is a perfect moment for us to show some ambition and get the best manager we can. Not just guarantee that we’ll only get a handful of points from the sky six fixtures, give minimum 4 points to Liverpool, and be out the cups the first time we play PL opposition.

If Brentford, Brighton & Bournemouth continue on their trajectory we could struggle to maintain to half if we continue as we are.

If we want to progress he has to go. That doesn’t mean there aren’t massive risks involved in doing it. But we have to decide if we want to shoot higher or not.
It's ironic that the conservative Moyes who is risk-averse is the choice of conservatives who are risk-averse.

Replacing him will be a risk - but staying with him means we'll be having the very same conversations this time next year having failed in another derby and been eliminated from both domestic cups.

In other words, he has to be replaced and we have to get the replacement right. I wouldn't back Kinnear and co to do that and I remain unconvinced that the owners want anything more than stability. But the idea that we can achieve something serious with Moyes is for the birds. We've had 14 years of coming up short. Why would Year 15 be different?

I appreciate the stability he brought to our club but he clearly is still a dinosaur in his thinking about young players and tactics in general. Nothing personal against the dude, but think we need someone younger and more willing to try something new and not be so stagnant.

Threads like this are a reminder of what a loser mentality our fanbase has.
I just want the best for my club friend, as I assume everyone else on here wants as well. Moyes is a good manager but I think if we really want to change the fortunes of this club, we do need to move in another direction.

I don't play favorites and to a point, anyone is expendable as the club should come first.
