Has a look around the fan base
See's they want this Porto fella and there not so keen on Neville/Stubbs
Throws out line to news outlet that Porto manager is on short list
Appoints Neville/Stubbs
Tells news outlet Porto manager not right man for job

OFF THE BALL SUMMARY
Pereira style of play: Philosophy - Porto has lots of possession to control. In all games outpossessed opps.. (65% except v Benfica (50).. compared to Barca, not allowing opps to breathe.

Would it be good fit? Hard to tell..firstly success with Moyes with stable - coaches in Portugal don't do signings.. not sure how he would be with transfers but coach is really good, methodic, lots of work..

Is it right to move - or one year too soon - now is best time - contract is over.. Porto gave no signs of wishing to keep him, bit unfair, until Benfica wasted their lead VP was almost dead man walking - so things may have changed but he would be stronger if he leaves now - if he stays if things don't go so well then image won't be so good at Porto...

Does he have character to survive here? Everton won't be job with more pressure than Porto (7 league wins in 8 years). I think Everton no need to win - 5th or 4th is great - I don't think they have 3 papers questioning his moves every day. He is a Porto fan but lived this with too much passion...

posession, we can do posession, and passing and stuff

hmmm so if he did come then maybe a director of football would be needed!!!

@philmcnulty: Stoke City will now target Roberto Martinez as D-day looms at Wigan - so will that prompt Everton's move? via @juliette_grace

Sorry not trying to be clever,The way you put it about what Moyes has put in place
Any new manager would be trying to do the job with his hands tied behind his back, that's the way I see it

Fair enough I'm just saying why let a manager ie martinez rip a stable team apart to buy ****e Wigan players and pass the ball around the back for most of the game get beat 4 nil at home to Southampton and say we played some good football when you can build on the foundations left by the previous manager
