Oh well. All in all, he was the best man for the job, all things considering. Pereira would've been great, but he doesn't know the league (Mancini didn't as well, but won the title, mind you), and it appears he wasn't a manager, rather a coach.

In Bobby we trust. For one year. Then we'll riot if we end up below 5th place.

Doesn't count really.

name a manager who hasn't made horrible signings mate

Not my first choice but I won't be disappointed if we get Martinez. He could be great, he could be dire, we'll just have to see.

I'll be backing him all the way if we do appoint him. Well in Robby lid.

Hopefully this will be sorted quickly.
I also hope that he is surrounded by people such as Neville,Stubbs,Ferguson ,Weir as they will retain a certain amount of stability with Martinez bringing something different to the table.

I am relieved that it is isn't Pereira and I am not sure that he was ever anything other than a chat room favourite.

We were all so used to stability under David Moyes and any change is hard to accept.
Look at Utd where David Moyes seems to dismantling the most successful backroom set up in the premiership, can you imagine how their supporters must feel.

I wanted Mourinho or Pellegrini ,but got Martinez and for all our sakes I hope he is as good as the commentators say.
