Funny thing is, in the first half it was the RS who seemed to sit back and invite us to break them down, while looking for counters with Suarez and pace. Daglish knew we were in form, and didn't want to give us any space in the final 3rd. He seemed to want to nick a 1-0 win. Yet, in the second half, when he knew he had to attack, we just let them. The RS played like they thought we were the better team, we had them down, and then we made it too easy for them
TX Bill, as a fellow Yank you will get this analogy. In baseball, you never let a hitter beat you on a curve ball when he can't catch up to your fastball. We should have stayed on top of this team for all 90. Instead we let them get on us. Protect a 1-0 lead for a whole half against Real Madrid - yes. Against that **** team - no.
This, all day mate.I know. Why didn't we just go for it ? If we had lost while trying to win we wouldn't feel as bad as we do, now
Don't win trophies any more
You buy them.
Unfortunately we can't afford them
Portsmouth, Middlesborough, Birmingham have won trophies whilst Moyes has been in charge.
I see a flaw in your arguement.
Interesting though that all three of those teams find themselves in the Championship now.
I'm not saying that you have to sell your soul to win a trophy.
I just find it interesting for interest's sake.

is he a great manager though ? that's what I've been asking myself today
he's worked wonders with us, as a good manager would, but he has won nothing
I love him for taking us from what we were, perrenial relegation strugglers, to an established top half team
that's what good managers do, it's what they are coached to do,
and if they are good at their job, they apply it, and keep their job
but great managers win things, and unfortunately, our cupboard is still bare
The sad thing is that we were even more defensive at 1-1 than we were at 1-0.

Portsmouth bought theirs. That's why they've been in administration twice in the last year or so.
I don't understand were this good first half has come from. they started off the better side, we looked nervous and couldn't keep the ball. Howard really dosn't help the team with his constant hoofs.
We then seem to settle down and have about 10 minutes were we pass the ball on the floor and we look like we are getting a grip of the game, then liverpool look the nervous team who can't keep hold of the ball.
Then it happens!! we score. liverpool are there for the taking, their fans are stunned and their players heads have dropped.
The match re starts and we (as usual) retreat about 20 yards, we suddenly turn into a non league side who couldn't make one pass never mind string a few together. i thought we have given them a life line. we manage to hang on to half time.
Second half and i am thinking if we keep the ball and start playing like we did in tat 10 minute spell we could get a second and breathe easier. No!! we get sent out to defend and when we have posession we give it straight back as the majority of our players looked terrified to cross the half way line. once again our super manager failed to see what and where it was going wrong and once again he failed to try and change it instead hoping for the gods to shine and we can hold on. the whole everton end could see what was going wrong.
Liverpool wasn't great but deserved to win, probably by more. We on the other hand have ourselves a group of sh1thouse players who are led by probably the biggest sh1thouse of a manager in all the leagues.
I have woke up this morning hating this manager and players more than ever (apart from a couple of players).
People making excuses really are blinded to what happened yesterday. This wasn't a one off, this has happened in every important game we have ever played in.
