Moyes patiently waiting...

That you Dave?

Seriously if you think for a second that Moyes and Kenwright didn't exaggerate the "struggles" we had, ten you're very naive.

In Kenwright, Moyes had a 100% safe job, and was never getting sacked. £65k a week is easy when there's zero pressure on you.

In Moyes, what kenwright got was a man who'd deflect any blame from the man who could seemingly so no wrong, someone who was satisfied go for the bare minimum, someone who squashed fans expectations, who made us, the fans fear going to anfield, old Trafford and Stamford bridge.

As I said, build the foundations to make us stable, just couldn't finish the house.
I'll be grateful for that. But 11 years... 1 final. 3 semis and importantly 0 trophies.

No one cares about nearly being great. They care about being great and winning trophies.

Barney, totally agree with you pal. I didn't say I wanted him back, merely that I would take him back. I can't stand the guy for how he acted and the final two years of his tenure. I just don't think it would be a disaster if he did come back, and it might just work out. He would certainly have the team fitter and defensively a whole lot better.

I want us to to go for a top guy, Mourinho, De Boer, Simeone, Tuchel, to name a few. But realistically, would we get any of those. My heart says fkn right we will, but my head says we won't.

In much the same way as the vast majority, certainly on this forum, want to see RM gone... I would wager equally as big a majority do not want DM to be in any way re-appointed.

As The Esk stated earlier and I respect his views, DM is not even under consideration.
Lets pray that The Esk is right.

Who's taken charge of what? 10 games in 10 years? And 95 being 21 years ago.

Sheedy or Unsworth are more suitable interims, surely.

Think you might find if you trawled through the umpteen threads my friend, that I suggested Unsworth.
I was merely pointing out that many saw what JR did for the 95 squad as a not unreasonable shout for him again.
We'll never know now will we?

Is have Moyes back tomorrow. He was great for us, before him we had 10 yrs of crud, a good season was being safe before Easter.
He took dads army squad and got us 4rh place in 2 yrs. we had artery, pienaar/Baines, yak, Cahill, felli - we had leaders on the pitch and played some brilliant football. We punched above our weight, and finished consistently in top 6 - with no money.

No I'm not on drugs, just give the man credit.
He'd get the team organised, fit, and playing with a plan.
With a pot of money and our squad he'd get us top 5 in next 2 seasons imho.
For those yelling "not enough", be careful what wish for. Pelligrini? No thanks. Who else?

I would welcome Moyes back.

If you're seriously suggesting you'd prefer Moyes to Pelligrini then I suggest you hop straight back over to RAWK.

And yes mate, I'm screaming ''not enough'' at your small time plucky little Everton drivel. We don't deserve success with idiotic ramblings like this.

Steady on! Boooooo.
What's RAWK by the way?

All this talk of getting a top class manager (someone even mentioned Mourinho) ... get real. Who would want to come here? Name names! As for people threatening to stay away, IMHO real fans support the team ... I was disgusted at the fan behind me at Anfield who spent the whole game teLling the players how [Poor language removed] they were. How does that help? I agree that Martinez must go, and a lot of our players look like they have lost the will to live, but how does yelling abuse at them help?

I didn't think Benitez would go to Newcastle but he did. Money talks mate and a high profile job in the best league in the world. I want Jose and don't think Wel get Jose but we have to try and get a winner in mate.

I'd have Moyes for the cup games like. But we can do so much better.

Honestly though, it's just the media looking down on us again. But we act like a small club so we can't get mad when we're treated like one.

Punches above our weight?

We are Everton. Competing for best of the rest should be the minimum not a great achievement. Moyes did an alright job. Very good at first but wasnt capable of going any further.

Shrewsbury, Reading, Birmingham, Oldham, Blackburn, Fulham. These are some of the teams who knocked Moyes' Everton sides out early in FA Cups run. I wouldnt let him near a cup run.

Its weird with Martinez actually. I never feel worried about cup games under him. He always seems to deal with them pretty well.
