Moyes only given 6 million from Rodwell Fee

Maybe it being a quiet summer for domestic transfers because of the Euros and the Olympics hasn't helped? Compared to £14m for Kagawa, £10.5m for Podolski, £8.8m for Sigurdsson and £16m for Cazorla it doesn't look too bad. But against £28m for Oscar, £35m for Hazard and £15m for Allen it feels like we've been done.

lol, asif we got more for Rodwell than Malaga got for Cazorla, or Dortmund got for Kagawa, amazing.

If we buy a couple of decent players out of the Rodwell money, and lets face it there is a chance that it is more at the £15-18m than the £12m and the club are telling local news stories to run with that fee to help their bargaining position with regards to incomings, then I will be made up as I actually haven't once thought of Rodwell in my preferred XI since we signed Gibson and to get a double figure fee is good business by EFC, as long as it gets reinvested in the squad.

I'd love it to be true but I'd be staggered if we spent £10m to be honest

Seems strange that some think all is well as we've got gibbo in his position. Forgetting we are completely lacking in any depth and absolutely buggered when someone gets injured.

I'm sure that Rodwell will be the bollocks for City if he can stay fit. Put Gibson in that side and he'd be no better than De Jong or Barry.

Who knows mate. Thing is the evidence doesn't point to him doing much there. He can't get a game in our starting eleven. I suspect he's been bought on supposed reputation and the couple of England caps he mysteriously earned.

Good luck to him like.

Not really mate.

Gibson, Fellaini, Junior, Barkley, Neville, Heitinga, Osman, Jagielka, Pienaar.

Assuming Gibson and Fellaini are regulars.

Junior and Barkley probably won't be trusted to start many (if any) by Moyes.
Osman, Pienaar fair enough.
The rest are defenders, who are slightly gash in midfield roles.

I thought he'd do ok on his England debut but I was really impressed and he did the same again in the following friendly. He had Parker offering cover so he could get stuck in and play his own game without thinking too much about shape and discipline. Kind of like Gerrard. If you ask him to be a holding midfielder you be get an adequate holding midfield performance from him. Let him off the leash and he can boss games. It might be difficult for Rodwell to get forward as much with Silva, Nasri and Yaya ahead of him but City don't do a lot of defending, so he should be able to join in higher up the park. I think he has goals in him from headers and shots from distance.

No arguement from me here.

I was just pointing out, that given an inury crisis, we have players that could "play" CM.

I've got a sneaky feeling that Junior will be Moyes' new favourite for this season.
