Looks like it is going to be vacant for a while!

The role has been vacant since Alan Irvine left Goodison for Preston North End in November and the boss has revealed that he is in no rush to name a replacement.“It’s highly unlikely that I will be making an appointment before the end of the season,” he said.
“I have been really pleased with work done by Jimmy Lumsden, Andy Holden and Chris Woods since Alan left and at this present time I am keen to maintain the consistency at the club.
“I don’t want to make a change at this stage of the season and anyway our own schedule has been too busy for me to make any enquiries regarding the post.”

Its a good move. How unsettling is it to mess around during a season? Irvine really should have stayed till the end of the season, but Moyes has got it spot on. Concentrate on a busy season instead of messing around with bringing in assistants. Especially as he already has many obvious candidates at the club already.

absolutely, makes you proud. Also makes me scratch my head that some think he needs to be replaced. I can't think of anyone I would like in charge, maybe a young Kendall before he pissed it up the wall.

I bloody hope Irvine keeps them up. I like North end, its one of the only grounds ive ever been to and my late uncle was a massive fan.

Go North End!

It sounds like a good chance for one of those guys to put their name forward for the role.

Sounds like an opportunity for Holden to step forward for the job and have Stubb's take over the reserves or Academy training with Carsley..

Can't blame Irvine for wanting to take the top spot at another club. I would have liked for him to stay but can't deny an opportunity like that.
