Moyes spent all week telling the press that liverpool were the better team.
His team played like they were scared of them.
I don't know what game you were watching.
Fair enough. I disagree.
Between 1991 and 2002 we finished in the top 10 once. This despite being one of the top spending clubs in the league. We escaped relegation on the last day of the season twice in that time.
Howard Kendall had managed for 2 years in the lower league before becoming Everton manger.
Mike Walker had 18 months experience in the top division.
Colin Harvey's first job was as Everton manager.
Joe Royle had lots of years of yo-yo-ing with Oldham before joining us.
Walter Smith is the only manager with any track record of success we've appointed ever as far as I can see,
I fail to see how the lack of investment in the Kenwright era can be blamed on the manager. For someone whose expectations have been lowered you certainly give off the impression of entitlement.
If you expect Everton to challenge for the title on a budget 4 times lower than at least 5-6 other teams have then you are living in la-la land. It hasn't happened in football before. When we won titles we were in the group the big spending clubs. Do you honestly not believe with another £100m a season to spend we wouldn't have a better squad, more capable of challenging?
"This is Everton" means nothing. Over 38 games the team with the biggest and best squad wins. Moyes has assembled a squad for naff all money which has only finished below one team (Newcastle last year) who have a similar budget in the last 6 years. That is an incredible level of consistency.
In 10 years only 4 teams have won more points than us, only those 4 have conceded fewer and only those 4 plus Spurs (just) have scored more. That is phenomenal - yes there is no trophy for it but I fail to see what else he could do on our budget.
I'd be f*cking gutted if Moyes left.
Imagine all the games we'd lose against the likes of QPR, Reading, Bolton and especially Liverpool, not to mention all those mazy cup runs we've been on over this past decade, Wembley has become something of a second home to us it would just be so unfortunate for us to clearly never get back there, as it's supposedly beyond the realm of any other manager, ever.
God knows what kind of manager would come here to our sorry club, seeing as it's only the 12th best paid managerial job in world football.
First you dedicate a thread to ****ging off Arteta, now this?
Thankfully the real matchday fans are nothing like the bunch of blerts that inhabit this forum.
