Great but that will never happen. :), Firstly, why would cahill get pushed out if owen comes in? hes one of the best midfielders we have. Also Arshavin lpays mostly as an attacker/winger, so it would be a 4-3-3 formation...

...We need to bring in 2 midfielders, maybe a striker. One fantastic signing too

Huddlestone and Moutinho wouldn't work. Both are slow and neither have defensive qualities. When where on top and dominating possession they'd be excellent, when where on the back foot we'd be very vulnerable.

Don't like the look of the team to be honest. Nothing looks like it would work and some of the players aren't good options like Owen. You also haven't dropped Neville. If it was up to me he'd be the first player out. With Carsley gone he's the only weak link remaining.

Nowen!

I don't want Owen at all. His pace is not what it was. And at best you would only get half a season out of him due his ability to injure so easily. He has not developed his game to compensate him slowing down.

Although imagine him scoring the winner in a derby game! That would be worth 8 million

I think we are better letting Davy pick the players he wants as hes not doing a bad job of it(y)

I agree. and since he asks me for advice I would ignore all previous posts.

/cough

Plus there is no Pienaar in the first post, yet there is a huddlestone. Thats where I lost interest

My thoughts exactly, there is no way in the world i would drop Jags, on presen form he's gotta be 1 of the top 5 defenders in the prem

As a centre mid i agree...... think he a quality right back though

Spurs have put a 10M price tag on Huddlestone I think.

We're going to have about 60 matches next year, you want Owen? Its 50-50 that he can avoid a year long injury after playing 20.

Arvashin is going to cost more than 12M. Plus his wages might be around 60-80K/week. Not coming here.

Mutiniho would be nice but might cost more than 12M as well.

It is worrying that Davey hasnt signed a contract yet, perhaps hes playing hardball on the transfer front but youd thnk at this stage both he and the club would know how much money is to be spent. i am getting a little anxious about it particularly because of the "its a formality" spin the club have put out.

If by some sort of a miracle we do sign arshavin ! i think davey might be tempted to play a 4-5-1 ........ Which means i don't think we'd be in the market for a forward.
