Moyes Off to La Liga....

Did anyone see Davey Moyes' interview on Revisita La Liga. He basically said that he loves Spanish football and aspires to getting us to play like that, but he knows the premier league is much more cut throat so it can't always be done.

He basically said, when he's done with Everton, (whether it be a month, a year, or 5 years) He will go and manage a La Liga side when he is a bit older.

Scary stuff. but I cannot knock the guy. At least he isn't planning to do a runner to Scotland or another EPL team.

did anyone else see this????

Didn't see it, mate. But I don't imagine Moyes in Spain, Italy or anywhere else that plays the game technically. He's had plenty of opportunity here to play the game with a little bit more style.

If you saw the interview though i think you'd disagree. He basically said, "I want to manage a La Liga side."

He said he loves the technical game but fully understands that you can't make people like Tony Hibbert play like he's from Madrid.

I don't think its a bad thing and if you look at the football we used to play! Big left to right from unsworth and get around the pieces! he has got us playing some great football. I went to the sunderland game on boxing day with a friend of mine who is a sunderland fan. He even said you lot play some really nice football now! Moyes a great manager and will do well wherever he is! we are lucky to have him and i hope he stays forever! Just look accross the way and see the fat spanish waiter he's lost it! great to see lol!!!!!!!!

On this interview?

Sky Sports | Video | Football | Primera Division | La Liga impresses Moyes

I didn't really hear that?

Interviewer -

"The style that you have here, if you ever went to spain, which in the past you said that this may be a possibility when you get older. Will you take the same style that you have here with you WHEN you go there?"

Moyes -

"I think you do bring a bit of your own culture with you, then you have to mould yourself and decide if it actually works, i think it could work, now football is global, theres players from different continents all over and I think it will be a good experience but.....in time."

does that back up my point that when he moves on he will be off to spain???

Coz if he had no plans to go to La Liga he would of said no straight away.

Maybe Moyes is telling them what they want to hear, but that ain't really like Moyes...
