Moyes "clarifies" contract position

I'm trying to work out which posts here are from realists; which are from cynics and which are from gloom and doom merchants!

I'm immensely positive about our start to the league season & enjoying what seems to be an attacking shift in our tactics however I'd like the contract stuff sorted out hopefully that just makes me a realist.

I know I keep saying it but do you really believe united will want a manager with no champions league experience and whose never won a trophy but has once in 10 years finished fourth to take over from sir Alex ? Reading your post it seems your saying you think they would want him but why would he want the job ? It's the united job one of the biggest in world football , the club a boyhood 'once a blue' couldn't wait to run to but you think moyes wouldn't fancy it ? I think there is a very select group of managers who would be in a position to turn that job down and for the life of me I can't see moyes being one of them.
I think he'd take it but I think whoever takes the united job after Fergie has an impossible job. The squad he will leave them won't be as good as a couple of others in the league and if the new man doesn't get success straight away the fans and press will be on him in no time. If I was united i'd try for Mourinho but to be honest we have no idea who they will end up with.

Praying Moyes stays with us anyway.

One of the side effects of Lambert and Rodgers making a pills of the Liverpool and Villa jobs is the highlighting of "steady eddy" Moyes, no revolutionary is he - what it says on the tin is what you get.

With Owen Coyle looking another false prophet it only leaves Martinez and he's a bit of an enigma turning down Villa and Liverpool.

If the CL clubs were looking for a new manager tomorrow who would they go for?

The cupboard is so bare Chelsea stuck with Di Mateo.

By dint of longevity Moyes time appears to have come...... unless Pep comes out of self imposed exile.

Paul Lambert - crap manager and ****e judge of players.

It is just laughable that some said we should get rid of Moyes and replaced by Lambert not too long ago.

So we are comparing lamberts impact at villa after 3 or 4 months with moyes' 10 years do you think your maybe bring a little unfair ?

I have never campaigned for moyes to leave by the way although I put myself firmly in the nobody is irreplaceable or bigger than the club camp .

Im with you mate Out of the 'hot prospects' Rodgers , lambert & Martinez he's the one I'd have wanted if moyes had left in the summer .

Thirded.

Not exactly sure what he's meant to do with an inherited dire Villa team and no transfer money.

He should've stayed at Norwich.
