Moyes as interim manager

Dont understand that point, to be honest. Suarez was a much better player than Torres.

Could never understand the outsized criticism Dalglish got for the Carroll buy when he also spotted Suarez and got him relatively cheaply. They then sold him for an absolute fortune.

I'm pretty sure it was Damien Comolli who arranged the Suarez deal. I'm sure Hodgson was fielding questions about the signing before he left.

I think if we were bringing Moyes in he'd be here by now.

You are right - looks like Roy Hodgson deserves the credit. imagine the team he could have built had he not been hounded out!:

“If the Suarez deal was done before Dalglish arrived, that leaves less than two months for Comolli to sort out a deal, and that's not really viable (IMO). FSG certainly didn't have anything to do identifying Suarez, which leaves the Roy Hodgson, who stated in October 2011:

"Yes, we looked at him [Suarez], but it was at a time the club was in the throes of a change of ownership. There was no question of making a bid. It was in between the two transfer windows. I went to see him play in a Champions League game against Milan. Suarez was well researched".

My point there is you've pointed out the big "financial differences", yet haven't took into account that Liverpool were on their backside in that period.

They nearly went bust, so the significant period you're talking about where we finsihed above them was probably their most uncertain time, and we still couldn't beat them.

As someone mentioned above, Arsenal now are not the Wenger Invincibles. Man Utd now are an average team - beating them is no big achievement. It is a good result, but hardly equal to competing with a Utd team featuring Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, etc
Yes but other teams take their place. Man City & Liverpool have been smashing records over the last 2 seasons. I’m sure some Moyes fans will point out he had a good record against city

That’s the thing a lot, lot more went right than wrong under his tenure (not going bankrupt being one of the bigger bonuses). The weird blinkered nature towards someone who can legitimately claim to be one of Everton’s best managers is quite amazing.
I get that point and it’s an interesting argument. I personally would see it as a step backwards due to how poorly he has done since leaving Utd aside where he didn’t get a fair crack.

although he would whip some of these wasters into space I just don’t think it’s worth revisiting some things and Moyes is one of them.

we need to be trying to get someone who would play the football we as fans want plus play the way the premier league bigger teams try to play. Pochettino would be ideal although probably never going to happen he is the sort of manager we should be looking to hire at any cost.

I think that if it was David Moyes he would be manager by now.
I also believe that he would like to be manager of Everton with funds available to spend, I think he felt the lack of funds hindered his chances of success last time, I would not agree with him if that is what he thinks.

He was able to pick up some excellent players for very small money, but ironically a lot of the players he spent most on were disappointments.

I'm just guessing here but I think the club was going to turn to Moyes but have seen the mass opposition to it across social media and have decided to give him a wide berth, thankfully.

Failure after failure since left here. You can stick Moves were he sun don't shine.

If it was DM - hed be here by now...... free agent......

Moyes knows his value. He'll also not want to start on the derby in an ideal world.

With every day that passes, the pressure grows on Marco and BK is clearly focused on the Moyesiah.

I love how Sky are building this up as a straight battle between us and West Ham for him, he's never been in higher demand!
