Player Valuation: £60m
Over the last few day's theirs been a lot of talk about witch player you'd let go. e.g-

If we get the money for cahill let him go.

If AJ left i would'nt be to botherd.

Carsley,neville,arteta,hibbert etc,etc.

Thing is, it's shown now that were struggling that are squad is just not strong an big enough to fight on all fronts. I'd be happy if we sell no one, we need to bring at least 4-5 players in IMO.

Graverson will be gone, an maybe manny aswell. We can't afford to let another 3-4 players go aswell. That would meen we'd need to buy 4 players for the guys leaving an 3-4 on top of that to bolster the squad up. At 5-10m each it's just not possible.

We need to trim the dead wood away from the squad an add quality. From the way things are going right now, we need a much bigger squad next season.

Were not Utd or chelsea, we cant replace 6-7 players a season at a cost of 60m. We just dont have the money. Its easy saying we need to replace neville or hibbert or carsley. It's not replacing them for me, its just adding to the squad better players but keeping these lads. Injurys happen, we need a big squad if we want to challange.

What do you think??

I think we need to get rid of Phil Neville. I realise that we are down on numbers but I don't see him as good enough for the type of team we believe we can be, next season. If he would be happy being on the bench or simply as a squad member, then I'd be all for keeping him. However, I don't see Phil as someone who would adapt too well to that. He believes he should play first team football. I think it would just end up going wrong. I'm sure a mid or low level premier league team would come in for him. Better to sell now, then when he's not even a first team regular.

The rest, I say keep unless we can command high fees (AJ springs to mind).

AJ is a top striker IMO, one the best english stikers in the country on his day I feel. He's just been unlucky this season with niggling injuries and playing in the team when creativity is at a low. He plays off the last man and isnt someone who holds the ball up for back up. Get it in front of him, in front of goal and he'll score 9 times out of ten. He still scares defenders and is a handful.

Arteta is just quality with years ahead of him so I dont want him to go.

Neville....I have a big soft spot for him. He loves the club, the fans and is proud to be our captain. I like the feller so I 'd be sorry to see him go. AS a footabller is adifferent matter

look out for the jan transfer window then, maybe he'll walk across the park !!
we need some of the youngsters to break through so that we aren't forking out millions, then surely the transfer fee's saved could go towards keeping them at the club, ok to have a big squad but if you're forking out huge sums to bring them here then paying a mint for them to keep the bench warm it's not exactly gonna keep us all happy, especially if they go stale and then when the chance comes along they haven't had enough involvement to make any impact.
