Math is the term used in North America. It has gained some traction here along with America's barbaric view of what a society should be but it is not English. Language evolves of course but it is still not the preferred English term. It will have made the dictionary be being used often enough by simpletons who know no better

I waste so much of my time me correcting the spelling of words that I type like realise, the penultimate letter should be an S not a Z, but American spelling,what can I tell you. As long as I have the wit to correct it I will not let Google turn my English, which was beaten I to me by the Brothers, be Americanized. You are quite right my friend it is maths.
