The most important point is that if he wants to go to Porto and if he's forcing his move it's because he has heard what Porto has to offer, before any negotiation with his club.

For that reason in my view, Sporting should never negotiate anything. They should demand that the release clause would be met. No friendly club acts the way Porto has. And so, why would Sporting allow a rival to get stronger on Sporting's behalf?

Nobody understands this. The price is 10M€ plus players (no one knows who or how many).

I'd rather sell him for 5M€ to Everton. Or to bench him for the next 4 years.

There was this Porto fan in the other thread claiming that Everton also made an offer. Was that a wind up or was the information genuine?

Don't think that is true. But this came out as a shock yesterday. So nobody really knows what's going on.

We'll have to wait until Sporting makes the official announcement to the Stocking Market Committee
