I highlighted the important bit. The very 'open-endedness' of this statement says to me, "Make a bid worth my time to consider"

""We do not have an offer from Everton on the table.""

Translation: We have not received a formal bid, as Everton have kept the bid informal, to ensure we dont get pissed off as if the bid was formal, Moutinho would receive 10% of the transfer fee.

If it's true we'v offed 16.5m, i hope to [Poor language removed] the sccept it. If not, it's time to move on. We should not be held to ransom by them. 16.5m is enough!!

Hope he's an everton player by next saturday.

16.5 is well enough I think. Especially that amount of money could buy 2 quality players (Cana, Milito) or get someone in for less and have money over (Fernandes).

16.5M Euros is way off what they want, what a joke. That's only about 13 million.

That is probably all the money we have got. £10.5 million from the AJ and £2.5 million Kenwright has kindly "NOT" given Moyes to spend. So much for this money we had to spend even before we sold AJ. Pleaaaaaaaaase let me be wrong.

That's really low! It'd better be a formal bid, so that they have to pay the player some money if they reject it. It's time we cranked up the pressure a bit if we want to get this fella.

Haggling is half the fun!
