"Everyone knows, I often said it when I was young, Arsenal is the club of my heart, because there were quite a few French players there like Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol.

"The beautiful Arsenal. We will see. I cannot tell you if I am going to go to Arsenal. For the moment, I am focused on the French national team and the Euros."

Good luck at Spurs :)

Excellent vaulting.

What's he said mate? I'm disappointed because I want new blood and he looks useful when I've seen him but geordies say he's awful. Tbf their whole squad is terrible

Merson doesn't rate him at all

And he is fuming with the players attitude for not answering Koemans call

Seems like a player who is in it for the money and not the football. Disgraceful attitude just cares about himself

He should never have agreed terms with us if he didn't want to come he just used us as a pawn to attract Spurs and wasted our time when we could have spent the money elsewhere (that's what we will probably get told but we wouldn't have spent it anyway)

Says that he was massively half arsed last season and just stood and watched as his team got relegated.
Also said it was outrageous that he ignored a call from a true football legend like Koeman. Should have had the courtesy to speak to him.

Its a real shame that we've already had Spurs at home this season, otherwise we could have given the chap a good old fashioned Boo'ing

Fair comment. He seems sound. Gutted we couldn't persuade him. Maybe January when he hasn't played for his favourite club of all time

What's he really done that everybody else wouldn't have done in his position though? Gone to play Champions League and possibly challenge for the title rather than come here and play in an unbalanced squad that has massively underachieved the past few years? Only thing you can hold against him is not having the decency to answer his phone and tell Koeman personally that he didn't want to come, seriously rude thing to do that. Otherwise he's probably made the correct decision.

Blame the club, not the players who said no.

...but that's exactly what I'm holding against him
