Spurs will like this:

"Arsenal have always been the club of my heart"
(Jan 2015)

"Arsenal is one of the best European teams. To be watched by that sort of club, that proves that you are a quality player. It is good to know. I hope that I will have the chance, soon, to play for this club."
(June 2016)

Nial quin summed it up Spurs backed out, let us negotiate the price down from 35 million to 30 million the Levi shafts Morishi who he says has a lot to learn!
Utter nads that. Spurs offered £16m and were blown out by the Geordies who stood firm on their asking price.

We matched it, and then Spurs lept back in stock the 11th hour.

In the light of day you're entirely correct as Spurs are a more lucrative target, but it's the utter embarrassment that makes this news hard.

We've been made to look like a laughing stock by a player and another club combined with our inability to sign any of our primary targets.

Only embarrassing if you are sensitive. I don't give a toss what others think or say. Several clubs go in for a player only one will get him, offer so much for a player and it accepted or not accepted, offer a deal to a player and he accepts or rejects. Nothing embarrassing there. As has been said we can't offer European football to any targets. Its going to be a long hard slog and we are only likely to get the better players from the lesser teams but we are still stronger.

The fume over being jibbed by a [Poor language removed] yard-dog like Sissoko, who incidentally has been available since May, is unbelievable.

Have a mahoooosive word with yourselves.

It hurts ... but the pain is lessened by the knowledge that the guy is a right piece of work whose attitude and behaviour could have done damage to what is being built at Everton. Maybe we are better off without him.

The Drama on Sky was staged managed as BBC were saying Spurs were still interested Sky forgot to mention that , then when the deal broke it was would you believe it, how must the everton's fans must be devastated well staged well taken in!

Doubt Moshri would've been directly involved in negotiations tbh. Surely that's more Elstone's area.

Anyway, we're not paying £30m for Moussa Sissoko- no reason to despair.

I'm mainly shocked we have a private jet for players.
