Looks like they're getting Ibra as well. Was quite enjoying Man U being pap and rubbing it the noses of all the cry-arses here in uni.

I'm not going to act holier than thou about them sacking him after winning the cup, don't forget, many of us wanted Martinez gone cup or no cup too. Mourinho can be pretty deplorable but part of me likes to see Utd succeed as it winds those beuts from across the park up so much.

Press reports that LVG brought in an employment lawyer renowned for getting a good deal for his clients. Ed Woodward, whilst brilliant at commercial deals, seems to have been poor in getting value for money in transfers so might be interesting!

Also LVG seems like a man who if you hurt his pride can really dig his heels in...

I'd say that the difference with our case was that Martinez lost, in quick succession to a derby humiliation.

Whereas Van Gaal won them a piece of silverware, and was not given the time to even celebrate.

EDIT: Sorry I misread - you did cover that... but I still reserve the right to criticise them for doing that all in the name of pandering to a fanbase of whingers/ powerful ex-players

For me it wasn't the sacking itself, that was inevitable and deserved, it was the way they handled it.

Even if they personally didn't leak the info, they let it get to a position where LVG had the confirmation from the media, overshadowing his FA cup press conference no less, rather than directly from them and then they failed to give him the courtesy of discussing things for over 24hours.

At least when City told Pellegrini they were not continuing woth his contract, they told him first and allowed him to control when and how the information was released.

As a supporter of the Glazers' American football team, I can tell you most of their coach/manager sackings have been absolute train wrecks. They only recently learned how to do it with any dignity over here.

I honeslty wonder how Mourinho would do over there. That lot demand 'pretty football' and some of Mourinho's teams are not that attractive in the slightest.

The way United have come across since Ferguson and gill left has been unbefitting a club of their size. Embarrassing and downright disrespectful to their managers.

You have any proof they leaked it? From what I've seen it was Jose's agent that leaked it.
