I've never seen him play this well to be honest HB.

On the wing there was alot more skills, flicks and tricks but in terms of being effective and dominating games I haven't seen him like this in the past.

He joins everything up, knits everything together and is everywhere. Left, right and centre. It's a joy to watch.

Got to be up there as 1 of the most skillfull players to pull on the royal blue

I had to tivo the game becasue it wasn't on tv til 8pm tonight.

No.3 - Jo, fantastic debut; he was a pest and showed alot of flair, it was like AJ, only this player had skill. Pity he'll be gone in may :(

No. 2 - Arteta bossed the middle; he's playing better than he ever has.

No.1 - whosever bright idea it was to not close down Arteta in the midfield (Megson?). For as good as we played today, Bolton were utterly wretched. I would say they defended like a Championship team but that would be an insult to Championship teams. I actually think Arteta was getting pissed at the lack of defense ineptitude and disrespect that Bolton showed him and starting doing random stepovers so that someone would eventually close him down.

So I had to choose Arteta.

Jo, not just for a great debut and the two goals but for the great dive with half-pike (y) (not that we should condone such outrageous behaviour but needs must - all I ask is that if he does it again he is made to do this dance )

The whole team looked great - especially Arteta and Baines. But got to go with Jo for such a noteworthy debut. Within 10 minutes I thought he was looking more comfortable than Saha ever has (not to knock Louis). And stylistically he's an interesting contrast to Yakubu and Cahill but fit in so well. Hopefully plenty more games like that to come.

Can't wait for Sunday now. No Jo, but Villa is still DEAD!!

He was fouled and unfortunately if he scrambled to stay up he may have not gotten the call. No problem with that as long he as doesn't do it when he gets tripped up by the earth's atomsphere.

what bothered me is that he cut away from goal, it didn't look like he was trying to score, it looked like his first concern was to draw a penalty, and i hate that sort of attitude more than anything
