Tough one.

Galloway had a fine debut but was poor for their goal, then Lukaku scored one and assisted the other but looked like he didn't know what football was for 90 minutes.

Went with Stones. Solid all game and is just boss.

Baby Sylvain - yeah I know Downing did him a little for their goal but he passed the responsibility on to Jags who didn't get the cover in on time.. given it was his debut he played well enough to merit the call.

Captain's innings from McCarthy there, Stones was his usual awesome self, Galloway looked as if he knows what he's doing except for their goal and to be fair, McGeady coming on gave us a lot more impetus

Also having to face Downing , and Jenkins on his own looked far easier when the subs came on better balance.
He was also out of position , and showed he can tackle just one bad mistake, yet we won it will give him confidence good debut!

i think john stones was head and shoulders above anybody on that pitch today. rom had a great second half though.
