JAGS for me. Im sorry but for me that was 90 minutes of incognito defensive superstardom. You may not have noticed but I did. Lescott was shaky, Hibbert solid despite the penalty and maurading Young and Baines kept Milner in check, but for me Jags was the rock star. Add Carew to the list of opposition strikers gone MIA.

Howard, boss again. Theres better, but as he gets older he gets better. A few shoulda's and coulda's and question marks about his kicking, but did well.

Arteta gave us 45 minutes of gold, but was really squeezed out in the second half. If there was a man of the match for the first half Arteta was head and shoulders above the rest, but in the second half couldnt get forward with purpose, and often just went sideways. Could have done better with the free kick.

Rodwell was good, really happy with his display. He can learn in spades playing between the Tater and Pip. Well taken goal from the youngster. He's got it all and and at 17 years old, Im smelling some Man U type domination with this crop of youngsters.

Gosling was superb for mine. Never over-awed. The way he gets onto the ball and put Gardner on the back foot and was trying to beat him everytime. His ball retention is right up there and playing on the left too. He'll turn into the personification of the Moyes midfielder.

Cahill got a goal, and was a dead set nusance. I reckon defenders absolutely loathe playing against him. They know they are going to ache days after playing against him.

Neville. Good shift, good Captain, another win in the bag and not geting carried away.

And the Cheeb: SEE LAZY ANICHEBE THREAD

I chose Victor. He drove the back 4 nuts and was the difference in the match. Arteta was once again superb as well, he won't make the prem starting 11 because he doesn't play for the [Poor language removed]/Utd/Arse/Chelsea however there may not be 5 players who are playing at a higher level than he is.

Man for man we were fooking outstanding. Arteta Oooozes class, superb again. Vic had a worldy to. But it has to go to Rodwell, cant belie he's onlt 17. What a player, first 45 he was so good was untrue. We have a future England captin on are books, mark my words.

Every one played well yesterday, well done blues. Made me so proud.

I voted for Big Vic. I know that Arteta will get most MOTM votes and I wouldn't argue. To me Vic has made a good start back after his 'troubles' A great effort as well as a couple of assists. I hope he can now move on and show us more of the same, I know he can do well for us. Nice to see DM greet him when he came off the pitch, class.
