OK result and in parts performance, however you could see Kone getting a second yellow for a good ten minutes before the pen this led to a period of Swansea pressure as they sensed our confidence sapping and as all season we don't "do" pressure do we?,however all this could have been avoided if RM had used a bit of common and benched Kone, very frustrating, shades of the McGeady debacle at West Ham.

Pienaar changed the game for the last 15 minutes of the first half, our best spell of the game.

Jags a close second for his all round 90 minute display

Its his intelligent movement off the ball and his clever passing that makes us look so much better in the final third. The first thing a player usually loses is his pace, lucky for us its not a big part of his game. If fot he has to start.

Barry was decent, Jags solid and assertive.
Pienaar made a difference when he came on.
Ossie was good attacking before he came off.
Baines looked more like his old self.
Coleman was decent (apart from handling when he was pushed over).
Howard made a cracking save early on.

I went for Stones because I thought he was solid for the whole game. I think we often forget he's just 20 years old and it makes such a difference to our defence and overall play when he's on his game. Would love to see a couple of other 20ish year olds given their chance to shine for the remaining games - Browning, Garbutt, Lundstram, Long.

Besic in for Barry too. Give him a run of a couple for games and lets see what he's made of for next season.

I thought a draw at that place was more than ok and it could and should have been more. I didn't agree with RMs post match comment that we dominated the game, but we did get the better of them after the first 25 minutes or so and remained the dominant force in the game after that. We got back to playing a bit of football on Saturday and in that sense it was a major improvement. I wouldn't be too concerned if we were still without Lukaku against Burnley and rested him up for the final five games after that starting with United. We look pretty solid as a unit in the last two games with others taking on more responsibility to take the attack to the opposition...and that's been largely without Mirallas too.

I see a team with more confidence and belief than I've seen for a long time this season.
