McCarthy was imperious in the middle and contributed with a much needed goal, so it has to him for me.

Stones and Jagielka were both solid at the back, but the latter has some wayward passing which was sometimes difficult to watch.

Barkley was livelier and more clinical than usual with some useful runs. Lennon concerns defenders with his pace and got stuck in.

It was difficult for Rom up front by himself with how we were playing, however he worked hard, held up the ball and caused a threat.

Really tough because there was quality all over the pitch but I've plumped for Barry. Apart from the stupid mistake where Fellaini should have scored, he was tactically superb, very Mobile and always showing for the ball and basically had the manc midfield all to himself. Totally let McCarthy bomb round all over the show today. Very disciplined and right back up to the level of last season imo. Howard, Stones and McCarthy were all superb as well. Lukaku I thought held the ball up well and definitely see signs of improvement there with his touch.
