He did what was needed for the side he was playing for - he was technically limited so he focussed on getting under the oppositions skin. Clever player, he found his level at lower end Premier League/upper end Championship but I always appreciated that he gave it 100% every game for every club.
He clearly prefers to see "proper" football, despite looking like a woman, so that's why he talks sense.

I like him as a pundit actually. He is up to date with modern footballers attitudes etc.. He can be a bit of a tit, but, I'd have him over most on the BBC, Gabby Yorath is better than Lineker as well...
