Bbc originally said two goals for doucoure and then gana scored with a nutmeg.

Not watched MOTD for about 2 years and I feel much calmer.Do people still watch Match of the Day?

I thought there was contact and it was a penFrom what was a decent game; can't help but feel the review was absolutely shocking even from the usual standards
Eze penalty shout should never have happened and also missed out a few second yellows after his dive.
But even Linekar made out he was hard down by despite being the neutral host.
That happens at least twice a week and is very annoying that they don't correct themselvesWasn't MOTD but a pet peeve on mine is commentators mistaking a black player for another and just...carrying on like they didn't make that mistake.
The guy on Optus mistook Doucoure for Young when he got booked, he somehow also forgot about that booking later when saying that a Palace player was the first booking of the game. They already have nothing interesting to say the least they could do is be accurate.
Tbf there is probably a fear of being called a racist that might contribute to them not drawing attention to when they get it wrong. Seems they'd rather settle for being disrespectful which is still worse than being a moronHe was a massive idiot and it wasn’t just a black player thing, he also said ‘Calvert Lewin!’ as Mykolenko was running off celebrating his goal and then corrected himself which is an incredible mistake to make. So I guess I’m doing him a favour as being a moron is better than being a racist.

Think we got away with one tbh![]()
no I look at what I think happened. Is it against some code to suggest we got lucky or what?Do you draw lines when on the TV when there's a possible hand offside?
Can we stop with this? On saturday, I saw someone from about 50 yards away that looked like someone I knew...as I got closer it turned out it wasn't him.Tbf there is probably a fear of being called a racist that might contribute to them not drawing attention to when they get it wrong. If your job was to comment on who you think that person is as you approach and you get it wrong when millions are listening, then yeah, you should correct yourself. Mistakes happen. Correct them when it's your only job at that time. The problem is they usually don't correct themselves when they mistake Black players, and the co-commentators don't either. Often there is a tangible uncomfortable silence as a result. That is the issue, not being wrong, but deliberate avoidance of correcting themselves. Can we stop with this? I wasn't required to be giving a stream of consciousness narrative, so didn't have to correct myself.
Commentators often attribute things to the wrong player. It happens all of the time. Sometimes it is not easily visible who it was and they use what they can see.
All different kinds of players have things misattributed. It literally doesn't matter.
You are asserting without evidence that the players skin colour changes their behaviour and then imputing a motive. Would be nice if you had evidence other than your feelings, which are clearly biased. If your job was to comment on who you think that person is as you approach and you get it wrong when millions are listening, then yeah, you should correct yourself. The 'evidence' is that it is noticeable, and that's it. I'm not going to compile a montage of examples just to prove to you that there is a pattern there. This is not a court of law and they are not on trial. I am not biased, I am observant, and I watch a lot of football. I replied to other posters' comments that highlighted this occurrence, because they obviously noticed it too.
