Yup, I wonder with him if he is going to be one of these that peaks when he first comes through (like he has) then plateaus which is what seems to have happened, a lot thought he was going to kick on and it's not quite happened and Barnes looks a far better prospect.

No, the price is overinflated but that does not necessarily mean Rice is overrated.

We cannot judge footballers by what the market is demanding of them in a financial sense, we can however use our eyes and have an opinion of a player and my opinion is that he is a very good player and in general is not overrated, the odd person will go overboard and say he is world class etc. but by the by I think he is probably about where the average fan sees him.

Anyway, the most over rated youngster was Anthony Le Tallec.
