Most hated RS player?

Shankly died one of us. My late father in law hated that fact. He missed one of Anfields most famous nights v St Ettiene in the European Cup SF 1977 he opted to go to Hillsborough watch the Blues League Cup Final Replay the night before. Spent most of his time at Goodison in the last years of his life. Good enough for me.
Maybe one for the Books thread, but David Peace's brilliant Red or Dead shows their treatment of Shankly after he left (and the way we, in sharp contrast, welcomed him). Of course, the way they dealt with the man who transformed some Division 2 also-rans has now been erased from the collective memory hive mind.

Not many mentions for Terry "Pisses on Nurses" McDermott?

Also Hated "Oh Jimmy Jimmy, Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy S*** house Case Finished Geoff Nulty's career if I remember rightly.

Emlyn Hughes was another until I met him, and he was ok actually. I think he regretted the Liverpool are magic Everton are tragic remark greatly.
.
Tommy Smith. Although off the pitch I believe he was fine and he used to drink with some of our players like Colin Harvey etc after derbies or in town.

Nicest I've met Bob Paisley, Gerry Byrne & Cally

Unless you're black. Horrible man. Didn't he get done by the DHS over disability benefit as well?

What's the story with McDermott?. Something to do with the 1977 parade?.

Tommy Smith took a penalty in an FA cup final when he was on disability benefit then someone had a word in the benefits agency and he had his benefits stopped.

Find it interesting that although they had a cheating, racist, cannibal playing for them not too long ago he has barely had a mention.

Just shows how abhorrent that lot are.

Suarez. Just horrible, first by an absolute distance.
Eff off McMahon. Say no more.
Rush. Endless goals against us. Big-nosed galoot.
Alexander-Arnold. Worst of the current lot.

Didn`t even have to think about it.

Souness, still hate him as much now as a pundit.

I just wish he`d have still been playing when Duncan was playing.
Always like the fact souness was critical of Liverpool and seemed off message in comparison to every other kopite media pundits.
Danny Murphy talks like he was world class and carragher offer little or no intellectual in sight. Don’t get it

Really enjoyed that book. It's really insightful into the characters of the era too. Hughes the vain brown noser, Shankley basically a monk, the Liverpool board a bad bunch of backstabbers.

Never knew they overworked their club secretary to the point he hanged himself under the Kop, either. Add it to the list.

Well he did bail on them in the end, and quite happily by all accounts. Not all bad despite.
