I actually get a smile on my face when they are playing becasue they are terrible.

Hated players

1. John Terry - just a total dick; I'd rather have Gerrard captain.

2. Barros - a diving cheat

3. Chimbonda - a money grubbing whore

4. Ashley Cole - see Chimbonda; wildly overrated.
 

Anyone who ever played for the [Poor language removed], particularly Barmby, Thompson, Souness, Carraghar and Gereard, Robbie fowler used to piss me of no end as well!

OK, here's the point: if for example you don't hate Carragher, then the degree to which you love our players is diluted, as your love for them is relative to zero, instead of relative to the extreme negative value of righteous hatred. So mathematically, you'd in fact only love them instead of adoring them.

All you need is love - and hate.

(Of course, as a Canadian I can only hypothesize on this subject.)

We were in town when he made his tradgic remark, prick I ended up fighting with a cousin that night his mother never spoke to me again cos he ended up with stitches over his eye and a tooth out I had a split lip all because of that [Poor language removed]:@

still if it wasn't for the bitterness he helped to spark we wouldn't have had :

can't imagine anything like that being sung about any other rs, tbh.

mind you, for some reason i also took a severe dislike to mcateer, even before he joined rs.
