There was talk of a remake with Batista playing the Kurgan, thanks God that didn't see the light of day. That entire church scene is epic.

In the book what I writted (yet to be sent to a publisher) there's a neolithic tribal king that is a proper evil psychopath, unrelentingly and unnecessarily nasty. Even gives me the creeps. I based the character on a head teacher I used to work for.

Could also be confused for any recent tory PM.
