2017/18 Morgan Schneiderlin

He's improved in the last two games by not being the worst player on the pitch. There's still a long, long way to go for him.

If the new manager wants a high energy team then there's no place for him.

He actually moved.

2 things he has been atrocious at this season:

-Showing for the ball when our defenders have it, taking responsiblity as our deep lying CM
-Reading the game to ensure he is in the best place to disrupt opposition attacks

Did he do either of those things Andy?

Point one... To some degree yes, but not in a full-on, I'm gonna run this game kind of way that he should be able to do against a tram like Swansea, no undue disrespect to them.
Point two... Not for me, Swansea had too many chances or at least half chances to suggest anybody was reading the game sufficiently well.

Got to admit he had two decent games on the trot and showed the type of commitment that wasnt there
After he had a more than decent form last season ?

I hate to even think this, but could he be the type of player who would be totally different and perhaps even regularly good under a different/better manager?

Its true you know, loads of players in our team would be much mucm better if we actually had a good manager, tactics and some sort of strategy.

But then, I dont know what Schneiderlin is supposed to be like at his best? What kind of midfielder is he anyway?

We need players we can rely on. Players who are gonna give 100% effort and even on a bad day be a 7/10.
This guy has proven he can’t be trusted, and needs to be punted in the summer.

Whilst I agree with these, football fans are not always aware of the circumstances. For all we know he could have been battling depression during his NEA spell and quite possibly was being forced to play when he couldn't. Who knows.

He's definitely an asset to this squad if he's at his best so it would be better if we had a manager who could get the best out of him as opposed to selling him and buying a like for like replacement, seeing as we have a massive overhaul to do.

It’s fair to say that since arriving from Manchester United, Morgan Schneiderlin hasn’t exactly impressed at Everton.
The defensive midfielder has yet to win the fans over with his performances, which is impressive considering he’s already appeared 50 times for the Toffees.
At 28 years of age, the 15 times capped France international knows this could be his last time to get one last big transfer before age catches up with him, and if he does, he knows where he doesn’t want to go.
He told beIN Sports, relayed by Foot Marseille: “If I have to leave Everton, I’d like a different challenge than the Premier League. I’ve already been to Southampton, Manchester United and Everton. I don’t see myself going anywhere else in England”.

Having played just five games for RC Strasbourg before going to England, Schneiderlin was asked if he fancied a return to France, and if he did, where would he want to go.
Two names immediately came up.
He continued: “Since I come from there, I keep an eye on Racing Club Strasbourg, but when I was younger, I always supported Marseille”.
With Luis Gustavo and Frank Zambo Anguissa already at the club, that area of the pitch isn’t exactly the Ligue 1 club’s priority, and a lot would depend on how much he would cost.
Seeing as he has three years left on his contract with Everton and they paid upwards of £20m for him a year or so ago, he might be a bit out of their price range.

Au revoir

He's dragging people down to his level?
