He did ok in his first half season with us, so imho he has downed tools, not sure it was the incident with Kev that broke the camel's back but perhaps he was told he would be shipped out at that point if the right offer came along.

When he was at Southampton he passed me by then too. I knew he was there but I wouldn't have said he was a stand out in that team.

IMO his good fortune in football is entirely the product of the rise of geekdom and the worshipping of performance data.

It's the triumph of quantitative analysis over qualitative analysis.

Hahahahahhahhhaha, he was the best midfielder in the league there, without question.

Clearly Kev has filled his head full of rubbish and he will never become that player for us, no more hunger sadly.

His "magnificent" datas from his S'ton and United days.

Oh how I was battered about the head by that data at the time he signed.

He was good at Southampton. Terrible at United. Good for us when we had Lukaku. Absolutely diabolical for us when we were struggling.

He looks like a mentally weak, fair weather type to me. A born loser. He only performs consistently in pressure free environments.

Oh I cant wait for this defence of the indefensible. I suppose theres loads of Opta stats to prove your point!

You rushed and bought into "Schneids" big time....repent at leisure. :coffee:

I hear he completed 80.65% of his passes and intercepted an average of 4.555 times per game. :coffee:

I think we may be asking to fill a role that he isn't suited to... leader.
If he had a leader, a dominant player next to him then he might perform better... just guessing.

No dave, at that point I was watching every match I could, stats are useless.

He was without question the best in the league in his final season at Saints, we saw flashes last season, but then the poison set in and with him being French and having a backbone of a snake, well thats that for him.

Whole of the moon...crescent.
