I thought he was poor for Palace's first goal by not getting close enough to Cabaye before it reached RLC. Looked like a very half-arsed effort to try and tackle him.

I was mate, I was lol at @davek last season who was saying we didn't need him.

He's been an absolute disgrace and if someone offered 10m right now I'd sell him. Easy to look good when all is going well but the top players drag the weaker ones through the tough times where this fella has shirked all responsibility and shouldn't be anywhere near the squad let alone first team

Dave called this one all right.....from the getgo ;)

If he wasn’t fully fit unsy has put him on a hiding to nothing.
The lads confidence is totally shot and our entire midfield were anonymous first half. Should be taken out the firing line for a few weeks and let Beni play. Keep him match fit in the meaningless Europa games and hope he can find a rhythm and come back the player he looked when we signed him.
Having said that the one thing we as fans is 100 effort and he has looked half arsed and deserves whatever rockets he’s getting in training.
Still think he will come good as we have seen him play well for us before, unlike that utter charlatan Sigurdsson!

I said it at the start of the season, he looked ridiculously thin like he had been ill.

I just think he isnt arsed, I don't think him and gueye works as well as it should in the middle, and even though he is a good player - don't think anyone can't doubt that, he is far from showing it.

I would bench bench and more bench until he was slightly back into the form he was when he joined.

Very poor at the moment and not helping the tea,.

Agree with a few others re: his effort / application.
We know he's going through a rough rut so that has to be taken into account but,
he needs to start going a bit back to basics in terms of body language, perhaps even over-running at times to gee himself up.
He looks like a player that believes he's very good and his form will just click into place. I can't see that happening.

Judging by his spells at Southampton and United, and what we've seen so far at Everton, it seems as though he can only perform when the pressure is off; something which is always the case at Southampton, and also happened to be the situation when he arrived here in January.

It's impossible to achieve anything of note with players like him in the side. He needs shifting as soon as possible.
