Rooney seemed to have no problem playing those long passes I keep hearing that Scheinderlien is so good at. Rooney also seemed like he didn't have a problem being a defender lying deep.

I've said it a few times that I didn't see much last season... He seemed to be injured for the majority of it and even then I can't remember coming away from a game thinking wow what a player we have here.

I think it's just been a continuation of his United form where he looked badly out of his depth.

I disagree. He was fit and up for it from the jump. Was a huge influence.

I just don't think he influences games enough. Didn't at United for two years and hasn't done here either.

I think you should always be wary about signing players who haven't cut it for such a long time - especially given the price tag he commanded.

Shocking performance by him today, but is anybody surprised? He's been terrible all season! Sheer refusal to pass the ball in a forward direction, which is doubly scary as he surely knows the liabilities who are sat behind him in defence. Needs dropping for anybody, but preferably Davies for an extended run in the side!
