What are you basing that on mate? We had a negative net spend last summer and Moshiri has already warned that the club spending will have to be "self sustaining". Does that spell we have money to burn to you?
Or altenatively, he's being guarded and shrewd. Tell everyone we've got money to burn, and we get our pants pulled down. Tell everyone we have to sell to buy, and maybe our targets are priced more reasonably. Just a thought.

Never understood why football fans care about the money aspect of it. On the whole they don't know how deals are structured, don't know the wage costs, don't know agents fees and, more importantly, the money isn't theirs. It's an odd game based on limited knowledge and limited actual interest.

Same here.

I'm a football fan, not a balance sheet fan.
Regardless of how much we spend or don't spend, I've still got work on Monday and bills to pay....
I think we should all be grateful that the club we support are on the verge of spending some dosh.

I dont care about the cash spent either. I do care it's spent on quality and if it's going to seriously depreciate over a short period due to age and ability. Do Bolassie and Schneiderlin fit that bill?

The thing is, thus far we've bought a lad under 20, and we're linked with Morgan whose 27

Who are all the other late 20's players we're looking at?

Van Dijk is 25, is that too old or is he young enough to buy? I mean, say we're lucky enough to get him for 3-5 years, there's not going to be much sell on is there?

Van Dijk's one big move is now, after that we're only ever going to sell him at a loss if we buy him, but he's in his prime and would improve us massively

I guess I just don't see 27 as being that old

Hi, my name is Mikey Fitzgerald and im 27 years young. My hobbies include football, football trivia and convincing myself that im not old at 27.
