Considering Davies' age, him Barkley and Gana can boss the midfield for years to come.
I hope Besic can regain fitness and get a steady run as there is certainly a talented player there.
Add in McCarthy (Schneiderlin) and I am hopeful Benigime in the future and we have a great foundation to build around.

You missed out Liam Walsh. Been better than Davies at under 23 level this season
Really talented kid, who will be in and around the 1st Team squad next season. IMO

McCarthy will be sold either this window or next, IMO, just for the reasons you state.

Wouldn't be quick to get rid of him this window with no Gana, like, but his injuries are scuppering him and us, and he doesn't seem to be content with just been a squad player (which is fair enough really if he thinks he can re-find his form of 2013-2015).
