Just sack him - what would it be 1.7 mil..? Worth it to get rid of this gutless mercanry turd

I understand the sentiment. There would be legal issues though and the PFA would probably intervene also.

As tempting as it is, we can't write off that sort of loss either and I don't think it would paint Everton in the best light generally.

It would prove problematic with agents and future negotiations with other players.

I think loaning him out until the end of his contract is the only viable option and even then we would be covering the bulk of his wages.

Why would there be legal issues. We pay the remainder of his contract and he is free to sign up with another club on a separate contract. He may end up getting paid twice during that period.

It would cost us millions to cancel his contract.
We keep him at the club, let him know he is not in the managers plans for the future, hope that his agent can find a club for him(probably in France) and negotiate a reduced payment if he decides to leave.

We throw figures around as if they mean nothing but a million pounds is a lot of money and we simply cannot continue to keep acting as if it doesn't matter.

I very much doubt we’ll be paying off players just to get rid of them.

It would be nice in a way but it doesn’t make much business sense.
A yellow banner on Sky sports news of "Everton sack Morgan Schniderlin cos he's crap" would be the best thing ever though.

I bet loads of other teams would follow us and do the same as well.
