Transfer Rumour Morgan Gibbs-White

If we think he can play more of a #8 role, I’d be really excited about this signing. But I think it’s outrageous for them to charge more than what they’re paying for Nathan Collins.

It's very strange that if our interest isn't just online rumour why would we pay 20m for a player unproven in the Prem when we could very well get a couple of similar players for that money on the continent.

Oh wait our coaching set up.?

Our DoF knows the player, seen reports he was the guy who extended his contract last time at wolves, Cole whose obviously close to Lampard has worked with him in the England junior setup so will know all about him too.

I have no idea if he’s any good or not but I am sure at one point he was highly rated, at Arsenal similar to Iwobi.
If Frank wants him I have no problem being A player that comes in, just not the main one.

Because the two players ahead of him in midfield for them are Moutinho and Neves who have a great partnership and are miles better than what we have maybe
Maybe, but it's a lot to pay for a player unproven in the Prem. We are paying a premium because he's English. Surely we could find similar at a better price abroad.

I don't think we can afford to pay a premium for anyone and that's both a blessing and a curse. If it's another 4 players we're looking for, I suppose considering frees and loans, it's doable but hard to justify.

Foreign players have to adapt - takes time and some don't ever (a lot don't in fact), pace of the game is also hugely different - Allan looks brilliant in Italy, and too slow here, same with Gomes just can't play in this league, look at some of the huge money transfers from France lately - Chelsea, Arsenal etc where they just busted out msssively.

The idea that there's way more value for money abroad often doesn't hold water.

This lad has over 60 top flight games already, and in a near promotion side was their standout player - always a big sign of quality.

Is he worth 25-30m - probably not right now, but he's a better risk than buying two vlasics hoping one will succeed

My guess is we will use both loans trying to get options with both to spread the cost to next season (Gallacher we will 100% hold a spot for in that regards until deadline day if needed) And try use whatever we have to buy 2-3 more, no idea if we'll loan from abroad or not.

My best guess would be try buy MGW and possibly Gilmour (or loan winks) Loan Gallacher (with option) and try bring in another cm.or forward.

Still wouldn't shock me to see a deadline day bringing in of Gueye either on a late loan.
