Forget for a minute he's on loan from Wolves. He's had two brilliant seasons in the Championship. Lots of goals + assists. There is a clamour for Lewis-Potter, however would there be as much if say he was on loan from Villa? MGW is an exciting prospect and the type most people want Lampard to sign.

That's the key takeaway from today. A nice little transfer request wouldn't go a miss. He's already rejected a new contract with Wolves so it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Wolves will know what will happen to his valuation if they hold onto him for another season...

I suspect Wolves are in a tough spot. With the De Jong deal in danger I understand Neves is the contingency option. If Wolves sold MGW now then they could end up having to replace both
