First, don't tell me how to post on here.

Secondly, I'm replying to someone.

Thirdly, I'm glad you've now understood. You're welcome I took the time to describe it, rather than allowing you to make the same 'mistake' twice and being removed from the forum.

Carry on.
big man and his site eh. How dare I reply . How very rawk of you. You need a pint lad

Find me an instance where I said the word Yank is offensive?

No different to;

^ @efcarentwe needs to understand that, because the moment you place a nationality in a derogatory manner you'll be challenged - in the same way you would someones skin or sexuality.
But he DIDN'T place a nationality in a derogatory manner. That's the point.

The sentence was, and you will forgive me for quoting verbatim:

"Sh1thouse gutless yank cowards . The attacker and the whoppers watching it happen."

This reads to me as an accurate description of the people shown in the video. They were Americans, otherwise referred to as Yanks; the attacker at least could be accurately described as a shithouse, and gutless, and a coward. Many would also also describe the witnesses who didn't intervene as the same. There's no general derogation of an entire race there, that's just a description of the people in the video. He EVEN specifically clarifies that he's referring SOLELY to the people in the video.

The "context" in which the word Yank was used is not offensive, it's descriptive. Just the same as if the attacker had been described as a "shithouse gutless coward woman", it would still be descriptive, rather than labelling all women as fitting the description.

Do you want to take this to PM so as not to waste anyone else's time?

Didn't he?

I gave benefit of doubt on that one.

The "context" in which the word Yank was used is not offensive, it's descriptive.

Will assume that's meant to be descriptive, rather than xenophobic otherwise that would have been a ban.

Warning points for language, reminder to all that;

When someones nationality (or skin colour, or sexuality etc etc) gets inserted into abusive comments made towards them then that abuse becomes xenophobic, racist or homophobic abuse.

I think GOT was lenient really saying the word Yank was used descriptively. If someones a *rude word* gutless coward then what does their nationality have to do with it? Why even mention it?

You abuse an American and insert Yank into that abuse and i bet they won't be happy. You call them your yank friend and i bet they won't care at all.

It's context, and this context was in the middle of abuse.

In your first reply you stated that he got warning points for the language and the use of the word "yank". The language warning, fair enough; the Yank warning was unwarranted.

If you're clarifying that he DIDN't suffer a warning for using the word "Yank" then fair enough, I'll shut up. But your first comment suggests that he got more than one warning point, and one of them was for using the word "Yank".

As I said in my previous post, happy to discuss this via PM with you.
