Loved it when i was about 8. Had the old amiga it was on, spent hours but got frustrated trying to work out the puzzles. I swear you had to be a detective at Scotland Yard to work out some of them.

They have recently brought out a Special Edition version, were the game has been remastered and updated, the characters all have voice-overs now.

I have just downloaded it for my iPod Touch and have been playing it non-stop, still just as hard though but loving it. Feel like a child again, bringing back some good childhood memories.

Guybrush Threepwood is an Evertonian!

Remember it!?

I downloaded it to my PS3 last week!! And there's a new version on there too!!

One of the funniest games ever.

You fight like a cow!

The first Monkey Island is the best for me! I still have them all on a cd laying around here, plus I downloaded the new updated version (although you can still play with original graphics if you want to :D )on Xbox Live!

Brilliant, brilliant games! Scummm(tm)

And while we are nostalgia-izing......the UFO games. Superb strategy games! UFO:Enemy Unknown was my fave. X-COM: Terror from the Deep was more of the same, just the difficulty was RAMPED up. Then the third one was.....alright. Again, got these on a CD somewhere around here.

All 3 hours 37 minutes of it for those with a bit of time to kill.

I was obsessed with the 'point and click' genre, I was a bad nerd and always finished them in record time. Loved them both, second one was truly a masterpiece. Cruise for a Corpse was a corker too. Thing with nostalgia though, never go back. Just keep the memories

For example. Valhalla on the Spectrum. I remember it being the greatest game of all time.....

(and that is exactly what i spent half my time typing too)

Followed by LeChucks Revenge and Beneath the Steel Sky.
Some of the oddest solutions to problems you will ever have to work out!!

Pretty much all of Lucasarts point and click games were stellar:

Monkey Island
Day of the Tentacle (especially this one!!!)
Sam and Max
The Dig
Indiana Jones

Loved them all!

I remember playing the first one for ages, and then taking my amiga round to my Aunties and we all completed it together one night.

The second one had way too many disks, and by that time Championship Manager was in full flow.
