I was wanting Gordon to start in his place tonight because I thought he looked dangerous for 20mins before tiring quite badly, so an impact sub as he built fitness up...

He’s made me look a fool tonight, and I think he’s shown the difference between fitness and match fitness. A great 70mins so far.

I honestly don't think that was the case for most. It was just saying he needed a performance like this quickly to show signs of developing into the league. He was on borrowed time with the performances he'd put in thus far.
