Fellaini has the potential to be worldclass, selling him would be a mistake.

We need Donovans pace but I'd rather not have him at the expense of a team mate - unless that's yobo.

I dont really care about Donovan....I'm fine with Coleman on the right as he gives us some of the same and, well, he's in Everton blue at the moment!

yes. im a bit biased because fellaini is my favorite. love him to bits.

i know this partnership can work out. if it does, it's be amazing. i just dont know whats going wrong. :(

So you want us to sell Fellaini and to buy an overhyped, overpriced Yank?

Apparently you missed the part where were much better with Donovan in the lineup? It has nothing to do with him being a yank either. Look I love Felli, but if it it's true that he and Arteta don't combine well, then shouldn't it be considered?

As heretical as this might sound, if it came to a straight choice between Arteta and Felliani then it is the afro that should stay. Arteta is a great player but the potential (dont forget he is five years younger than Mikel) and ability Fellaini has in that position is scary, as was shown during that burst of games up until the derby last year when he was astonishing.

Thankfully though we dont have to sell either of them, and TBH this problem of them not being at their best together will probably come right when they have an extended run of games together in the side, possibly with also taking a bit of a leaf out of Barcelona's book with Arteta as Xavi and Fellaini as a better version of Busquets.

So we're going to sell Fellaini, buy Donovan and play Mikel on the right?

Ok then.......

Huh? If we sell Felli, buy Donovan, then LD goes on the right, Arteta stays in the middle and Rodwell goes into the middle as well.

I'm not CALLING for Felli to be sold, I'm simply asking the question. We're extremely deep in the middle of the park, and VERY thin on the wings. God forbid Pienaar leaves.

Selling Fellaini is not an option.

fellaini was playing his best football for everton until that red nosed greek cnut done him in last seasons derby at the swamp, hes just started playing again and another injury, i personaly cant wait to see him fully fit again bossing the midfield and getting forward he scares the sh*t out of whoever we are playing

Spot on. Donovan this, Donovan that, Donovan everywhere. FFS not again... BRING THE MOUT IN!!! He's not the next Messi here, he's 28/29 years old and he's bound to lose his pace in a year or two or (God forbid, really) after an injury.
Listen, have you heard of this Coleman lad.... Yeah, that's right, he's young, he plays for some blue team, cost them next to nothing and is being more than boss in the last few games, being played "out of position" (though in my eyes he makes a perfect RM, not a defender, but whatever makes you happy...). Seriously enough of this Donovan thing. I like him as a person and a player, but enough is enough. Unless they give him to us for a bag of peanuts (not the expensive ones, mind) - the deal is a no-go. If he comes for a small fee - superb, well in, i guess, though Coleman will fall out of the squad.

Was he playing in Sunday mate? Did he play against Utd this season? Was he playing when we smashed City last season?
No, it shouldn't. I'm with Goat on this one.
You also missed the part where I said OR a striker who can score goals.

Soooo have you watched the games here, seriously j-dawg... It's a matter of time The Yak scores. Plus he fits in our game plan so well, can we find another one that would fit instantly or even perform better for next to nothing? Don't think so, sorry.

Ok then.......
Yeah, exactly my reaction.

I love LD, I really do, but that would just be crazy.

Fellaini is our biggest asset imo -- he's young, already really good, and has the potential to be world class. Him and Rodwell are the future.

Trading him for LD would be thinking with your heart, and not your head. Or thinking with your head, if you'd recently fell on it. From a great distance.

Ummm yeah I watch every game. It's not "Donovan this, Donovan that" it's are we a better side with him in the lineup? YES. Where did I say I didn't like Coleman? I LOVE Coleman. I'd kill to see Coleman and LD on the right side overlapping.

Oh and by the way, are you saying we couldn't use Donovan on corners? Arteta has been utter [Poor language removed] on corners this year.

As for our strike force, Yak was awesome yesterday. But if you're telling me that having a striker who can put 15-20 goals away ever year wouldn't propel us into the elite, then you're high. Yak has scored 20 for us exactly 1 time since he's been here. If he starts actually scoring AND playing every game, then maybe it's not a need.
